Built in 1850, The Rose Cottage is a classic example of early Gothic Revival architecture. From the wide-board floors, white marble fireplaces, gaslight hanging lamps and floor to ceiling windows to the pale lavender glass doorknobs, lacy gingerbread dormer decorations and gabled roof, The Rose Cottage has long been a West Boylston Landmark. Overlooking the Wachusett Reservoir, the cottage offers the quiet elegance of 19th century furnishings, the warmth of woodland surroundings and the friendliness of a New England small town. Michael and Loretta have been inkeepers at the Bed and Breakfast for twenty-two years.
